anova | hello all, trying to get my kubuntu to share all my files from 2 harddisks, now I am able to see them on Windows 10, but I can not add new files or modify anything.. I did tell kubuntu to allow guest access and everything.. I really need to be able to write/read/modify anything onmy kubuntu server. Can someone help or explain how to do this? I just want to be able to have my shares seen on Windows as an extra harddisk with full access. | 16:01 |
anova | Thanks in advance everyone | 16:01 |
IrcsomeBot | <DarinMiller> Hi anova, are the hard drive on the network or inside the PC? If inside the PC, are they mounted when the system starts, i.e. via /etc/fstab? | 16:15 |
anova | DarinMiller: The harddrives are inside the Kubuntu machine, they are succesfully mounted over my network to a Win10 PC but it seems as if I am a guest, can only read files but not create new files or edit/delete files on the Kubuntu machine | 16:23 |
IrcsomeBot | <DarinMiller> clarification, the windows 10 machine can read but not write? | 16:33 |
IrcsomeBot | <DarinMiller> Which version of Kubuntu? | 16:33 |
Maik | @DarinMiller they already get help in #ubuntu | 16:33 |
IrcsomeBot | <DarinMiller> very good. | 16:34 |
