I did tell kubuntu to allow guest access and everything.. I really need to be able to write/read/modify anything onmy kubuntu server. Can someone help or explain how to do this? I just want to be able to have my shares seen on Windows as an extra harddisk with full access. [16:01] Thanks in advance everyone [16:15] Hi anova, are the hard drive on the network or inside the PC? If inside the PC, are they mounted when the system starts, i.e. via /etc/fstab? [16:23] DarinMiller: The harddrives are inside the Kubuntu machine, they are succesfully mounted over my network to a Win10 PC but it seems as if I am a guest, can only read files but not create new files or edit/delete files on the Kubuntu machine [16:33] clarification, the windows 10 machine can read but not write? [16:33] Which version of Kubuntu? [16:33] @DarinMiller they already get help in #ubuntu [16:34] very good.
