vidal72[m]the 2.54 release on github has no changelog, the 2.54.1 has16:01
dob1I reported it some day ago and I tested it better right now: firefox snap is not disabling dpms while watching a youtube video, but I suppose for every video. this is bad imho21:53
dob1I am using i321:55
ogra_dob1, i think i saw it discussed on discourse ... no need to report it here again 21:56
ogra_(also note that canonical is shot down til the end of the year, replies might be sparse)21:56
dob1ogra_, sorry I don't want to argue but it seems very strange that nobody watch a video on it, 21.10 (with firefox on snap as default) was released in october... 21:59
dob1there is something weird about this, or it's my config or it's something that was not tested/not reported/ppl don't care22:00
ogra_dob1, there is the screen-inhibit-control interface, i think firefox simply does not utilize it correctly ... this cycle is for testing FF before the LTS and it is precisely the reason why there is still a deb package in the archive so you can switch if it is too buggy for you22:24
ogra_either way, i dont think anyone responsible is watching IRC until end of the year 22:25
ogra_dob1, nontheless you should probably report it at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi#h=dupes%7CFirefox which is where the snap bugs get tracked22:29
dob1ogra_, I am still surprised that nobody watched a youtube video before putting it as default...22:31
ogra_i guess nobody watched one that ran long enough to trigger a screen blank22:34
ogra_and i know that screen-inhibit-control was added to the snap 22:34
ogra_(with the expectation that it behaves like chromium, vlc or the kodi snaps behave)22:35
dob1ogra_, it doesn't depends on what wm/dm you use or if you have xscreensaver installed, right?22:37
ogra_no idea ... i think it depends on logind and dbus integration, which all sane WMs nowadays should have22:38
