So for instance if your thumb drive is being seen as /dev/sde and the ISO image name is lubuntu.iso ... you would in Konsole cd into the directory where the image is and issue: sudo dd if=lubuntu.iso of=/dev/sde status=progress [20:59] dd is generally considered to derive it's name as a shortform of "diskdupe" [21:04] Thanks for the help will give it a shot === genii is now known as genii-core
