[01:54] hi [01:54] Happy Holidays [04:05] What's the best Rufus alternative for Kubuntu. Not having a lot of luck here. I'm a complete newb. Any help would be greatly appreciated. [04:12] Nevermind. I'm a dummy. [04:32] etcher , but I'd suggest you to use rufus. (re @Crypto: What's the best Rufus alternative for Kubuntu. Not having a lot of luck here. I'm a complete newb. [11:24] graphical software center [11:25] KDE Discover is the graphical software centre (equiv. to Ubuntu Software in GTK), Muon is the package manager (equiv. to `synaptic` in GTK) [11:26] Koshet, ^ & https://apps.kde.org/discover/ [11:26] https://apps.kde.org/muon/ [12:39] Hi all! === taha is now known as taha_ === taha_ is now known as taha [14:11] got a Radeon RX 6600 XT. Gonna be a nice upgrade compared to my Geforce 1050 [14:14] Of course. nvidia linux support is ... (retracted) ... [14:22] Yes. It would be a big upgrade either way of course, the driver support alone should add quite a bit for my purposes :) [15:25] How can I install a biometric usb device in kubuntu [15:33] How can I install a biometric usb device in kubuntu === user|94 is now known as Achintya [15:51] Allrighty [15:56] New GPU works and yes shows significant performance improvements. One issue, my second screen works as you would expect, but it lost the kind of stuff that used to be on my second screen like the symbols-only taskbar and at least one desktop symbol was over there, too [15:58] other than that (and only showing as "AMD DIMGREY_CAVEFISH" in sysinfo but it is fairly new) seems to work great [15:58] :) [16:08] Ah, i see. [16:09] Okay, it nuked my 2nd screen and treats it as a new one becouse theres now an additional adapter becouse the GPU lacks some old school outputs. [16:09] Becouse now it doesnt recognise what screen that is but instead recognises it as the brand of the adapter [16:14] So, yes, works great === taha is now known as taha__ [23:25] Could someone pls reply me? (re @IarleMozaga: Hello, does someone here uses kubuntu with hybrid nvidia? it works fine? the video changes automatcally to GPU as in Ubuntu Gnome?) [23:30] Hi larie, Kubuntu currently lacks the "right-click run with optimus" as in GNome.
