[06:50] hi, how to add a ssh id_rsa file to the default keyring for the user ? === tux is now known as Guest2822 [18:41] Hi Guys, is there a license I'd need if I wanted to distribute a commerical tool via lubuntu on usb? [18:43] Hope that makes sense.. want to provide a service - a bootable lubuntu usb with my software on it [18:43] =D [18:49] Ben50: this entirely depends on the license of said 'tool'. and isn't really something that's related to lubuntu. [18:50] there are also the lubuntu trademark + artwork copyrights to be taken into account, though, i assume [18:51] i.e. for the lubuntu part, i would assume (but i'm not a lawyer) that you could resdistribute it commercially if you remove any references to "Lubuntu", as well as any art / design elements which are copyrighted. [18:51] Ah, interesting [18:52] Thanks tomreyn, really appreciate the advice.. do you know who'd id have to talk to ? [18:52] also is that a standard approach.. ie that I'd remove any of the imagery? [18:52] and copyrighted pieces [18:53] curious if I need to satisfy any of the Ubuntu requirements as Lubuntu is built on that I think ? [18:59] Ben50: i'm not sure, maybe try asking in #lubuntu-devel [18:59] cheers, thanks mate [19:00] there can also be existing documentation on this (on either topic, redistribution, and trademark/copyrights) [19:00] so it'll be best to search for this first [19:01] https://ubuntu.com/legal/intellectual-property-policy [19:01] something like that? ^ [20:00] Maik yes :-) thanks [20:00] yw [20:01] Looks like there's a contact form, so might just enquire via that [20:01] :-)
