[07:20] Good morning === Machinething1 is now known as Machinething === Lord_of_Life_ is now known as Lord_of_Life [11:34] Icons in breeze dark mentioned here: https://irclogs.ubuntu.com/2021/12/26/%23kubuntu-devel.html === genii-core is now known as genii [15:39] Hi folks [18:43] hola [19:08] hmm [19:08] hi [19:08] is anyone there [19:16] depends [19:17] Boa tarde. Acabei de instalar o kubuntu e parece que não instalou o driver wifi [19:18] Como posso instalar esse driver ? [20:31] !pt [20:31] Por favor, use #ubuntu-br para ajuda em português. [20:32] If you are asking how to install a particular driver without WiFi, and you already know which one, the usual answer is by Ethernet or USB tethering your phone. [20:33] If you do not know which driver, usually the first question will be what kind of WiFi card do you have. [22:21] Hi folks. I am apparently still on 20.10, Groovy.  I went to try and update to 21.10, but I get an error that my release is not supported anymore.  I... know that, which is why I'm trying to upgrade.  How can I convince it to let me upgrade? [22:22] I'm specifically trying to follow these instructions: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ImpishUpgrades/Kubuntu [22:25] Crell: does https://dandraka.com/2020/05/31/how-to-upgrade-ubuntu-from-an-unsupported-version/ help? [22:27] the idea seems to be to mess with the sources, to change them from archive. or security. to old-releases. [22:27] (I've never done that, so can't say if it works, but it does look plausible) [22:28] Hm.  That unblocks the specific error, and it's prompting me to upgrade to 21.04.  So, I guess that's progress?  I think it means it's going to make me do a two step upgrade, one version at a time? [22:33] yes [22:33] Hm, OK.  This should be a fun trip.  If I don't survive, I'll be back to tell you about it. :-) [22:34] you could also reinstall :) [22:34] Way too much work. [22:34] yes... but an excuse to switch to zfs :D [23:57] Trying to install 11.10 from a rufus'd ISO; it hangs after displaying "stdin: not a typewriter" twice on boot
