[00:49] billytrip[m]: it could be that the difference is that the images no longer off old style bios. When I used to boot (20.04 and earlier) the same usb stick would show up as two usb sticks in the boot menu, normal and uef (I think, can't remember) after that sometime, only the uef would work :P I did not want to switch because I have a number of bootable non-uef partitions. [00:52] billytrip[m]: even if I had to boot that way I did not install that way. That is I chose manual partitioning (whatever that is called these days) and only put in one partition. The installer would complain I did not have enough partitions and that I should add a ufe partition, but I went on anyway without installing grub. I used the old grub set up from the old partiton instead. [00:54] I'll have to see what happens when I want to boot a newer partition as default which I don't do now as all my work stuff is on 20.04. [09:41] Hi, I'm currently using adobe lightroom on a windows pc with only that purpose. The PC has a very nice looking and big screen and it works well. The only downside: It's a separate PC just for photography and I can't "take it into the field". I have a linux laptop (I need linux for work and I just know it way better then windows). I found that there is a ubuntu studio installer, to install ubuntu studio on other ubuntu flavors. What [09:41] pogramme could replace lightroom on linux? I'm doing sorting, raiting, tagging, cropping, adjusting some simple things as white balance and exposure. My girlfriend loves the "auto" button in lightroom. She clicks it and if she likes it more then the original, she keeps it like that. We are both very new to photography and all videos on the internet explain how to do things with lightroom. We are both open to try other solutions, mainly [09:41] because there is no lightroom for linux. I always use opensource software where possible, but for this case it is not a requirement. Any suggestions what pogramme I should try? [11:15] Thanks for everyone that offed advice. I just googled "how to install gnome ubuntu" and did it. It is working fine. I don't really need 21.10, I just need a better desktop and now I have one :) [13:45] "Hi, I'm currently using adobe..." <- Try out Darktable
