jbichaEickmeyer: my understanding is that CC-NC cannot be part of universe (or main) but can be in multiverse (or restricted). The Debian equivalent of multiverse is called non-free01:10

=== doko_ is now known as doko
cpaelzer re-ping ubuntu-archive for help on DPDK, a few binaries need to move to universe (librte-compress-isal22, librte-compress-octeontx22, librte-crypto-ipsec-mb22) and armhf isn't build anymore (intentionally) hence we need to remove the former binaries on armhf in jammy (update excuses shows both issues)09:14
cpaelzerdidrocks: doko: ^^ you are the ones I'd expect to be around atm, I beg your pardon but since there was no response over the last day I thought it should be ok to ping you directly09:16
dokocpaelzer, done09:18
cpaelzerthank you doko!09:20

-queuebot:#ubuntu-release- New source: httest (jammy-proposed/primary) [2.4.23-1.2fakesync1]11:37
LocutusOfBorgvorlon, ^^ I don't know if the sync works to avoid now the fakesync11:38
LocutusOfBorgthe rationale for the deletion is now fixed in Debian11:38
-queuebot:#ubuntu-release- New binary: mir [arm64] (jammy-proposed/main) [2.6.0-0ubuntu1] (ubuntu-desktop)11:38
-queuebot:#ubuntu-release- New binary: mir [armhf] (jammy-proposed/main) [2.6.0-0ubuntu1] (ubuntu-desktop)11:40
LocutusOfBorgthe idea might be to accept the sync, and then accept the fakesync if the first fails :/11:57
=== cpaelzer_ is now known as cpaelzer
cpaelzerubuntu-archive: hi, 5.5h back doko did handle DPDK which is stuck in proposed. After the new run excuses now indicates that the demotions I asked for were done. But the removal of old armhf binaries to allow the transition did not happen yet14:40
cpaelzerubuntu-archive: the new version (inentionally) stopped building armhf binaries, so we'd need to remove the old armhf binaries to let the new version in - could someone of the ubuntu-archive team please do that?14:41
cpaelzersee https://people.canonical.com/~ubuntu-archive/proposed-migration/update_excuses.html#dpdk14:41
-queuebot:#ubuntu-release- New binary: mir [riscv64] (jammy-proposed/main) [2.6.0-0ubuntu1] (ubuntu-desktop)14:48
didrockscpaelzer: let me do the removals, those are only those 3 librte-compress-isal22, librte-compress-octeontx22, librte-crypto-ipsec-mb22 on armhf, correct?14:56
cpaelzerdidrocks: no14:56
cpaelzerdidrocks: that is what do_ko already did14:56
didrocksah, all from that source?14:56
cpaelzerdidrocks: the new version dropped armhf14:56
cpaelzertherefor migration is blocked complaining "no build on armhf"14:57
cpaelzerbut since this is not a mistake we need to resolve14:57
didrocksack, so removing the old ones, do you have a list handy? If not, I can have a look14:57
cpaelzerand IIRC the next step usually was to remove the armhf binaries of the former version14:57
didrocksindeed14:57
cpaelzerdidrocks: I can create you a list, you can prep the rest14:57
didrocksack14:57
cpaelzertakes a bit as this has plenty of packages14:57
didrocksindeed :)14:57
-queuebot:#ubuntu-release- Unapproved: grub2 (focal-proposed/main) [2.04-1ubuntu26.13 => 2.04-1ubuntu26.14] (core)15:03
-queuebot:#ubuntu-release- Unapproved: grub2 (focal-proposed/main) [2.04-1ubuntu26.13 => 2.04-1ubuntu26.15] (core)15:13
cpaelzersorry, mass-distraction15:14
cpaelzerdidrocks: do you need the .deb names incl version or the binary names?15:15
didrockscpaelzer: just binary name if you can, otherwise, I can list all old armhf binaries if you don’t have time15:15
cpaelzerI'm on it - checking the build log of the old build15:15
cpaelzerthat way I should get exactly the right set15:16
didrocksoh build logs, not a bad idea to start from them :)15:16
cpaelzerdidrocks: https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/T4XbdVfqyB/15:17
cpaelzeronly the armhf versions of those15:17
cpaelzerdo you need any :armhf or such on each name to specify that?15:18
cpaelzerI could easily add that to the list15:18
cpaelzeror you do, however you like15:18
cpaelzerand also - thanks a lot in advance15:18
didrockscpaelzer: and done! Thanks for preparing the list :)15:58
-queuebot:#ubuntu-release- Unapproved: designate (hirsute-proposed/main) [1:12.0.0-0ubuntu1 => 1:12.0.1-0ubuntu1] (openstack)16:01

cpaelzerawesome, thanks didrocks16:01
cpaelzerI'll wait for the next full run and look at excuses again then16:02
didrockscpaelzer: do not hesitate to nag me if anything doesn’t go as expected :)16:03
vorlonxnox: I know at one point you suggested that we should sourcefully remove linux from -proposed before copying new versions there, so that binary cleanups become less of a mess; that clearly hasn't happened.  Is that idea DOA?16:06
cjwatsonRelatedly, it might be an idea to start using copyPackage(move=True) in sru-release16:09
cjwatsonAnd perhaps also in demote-to-proposed, replacing the separate requestDeletion step16:09
=== Juan- is now known as Juan
vorloncjwatson: copyPackage(move=true) only changes the semantics of the source pocket, not the dest, right?16:49
=== unixlab is now known as nicoz-
=== nicoz- is now known as nicoz
cjwatsonvorlon: Right, it's equivalent to copy-then-delete but without the weird what-if-the-copy-fails case17:06
cjwatsonAs in, the semantics are that the delete happens if the copy succeeds17:07
* vorlon nods17:07
bdmurraycoreycb, icey: these octavia and neutron SRUs are newer than what is in jammy. What is the plan for updating jammy?17:15
bdmurrayicey: also with regards to these hirsute uploads are they necessary? hirsute goes EoL next week.17:19

bdmurrayjuliank: can you redo your upload of grub2 with -v so both bug numbers appear in X-LP-Bugs-Fixed?17:49
bdmurrayAlso you could have just use .14 since the package didn't end up in the archive.17:50
coreycbbdmurray: I'll get new jammy snapshots done this week for octavia and neutron17:52
juliankbdmurray it was tagged already :/17:54

laneyhellsworth: heya, (regarding xenial) I think we were still occasionally pushing SRUs out: https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/xenial-changes/20:18
bdmurraySteve has indicated they should only be related to the ESM experience IIRC20:19
laneystill, if the generator wants to generate appstream for them then it should do so, so it should be kept running20:21
hellsworthlaney: ack and thanks :)20:33
Eickmeyerjbicha: Thanks for the info. :)20:34
