manderHi all, I ran into a problem, returning to xorg from wayland on ubuntu 22.04: I have two monitors, one configured as main 4k horizontally oriented, and one 1920x1080 vertically oriented. When I put an application to full screen, the second monitor is automatically reset to horizontal, only with xorg, this problem does not exist on wayland.10:49
manderthe other bug, which led me to go back to xorg, is that you are unable to share the screen with firefox on wayland, which is possible with xorg11:19
tomreynmander: you could look for existing bug reports on this, and subscribe to them, or file new ones, if none exist12:23

LuckyManhi I just installed Jammy and grub doesn't show other OS's14:52
LuckyManI tried update-grub with no success14:53
oerheksIndeed; "The OS_prober feature is disabled by default in GRUB 2.06, which is the version included in Ubuntu 22.04" 14:53
oerheksbut there is a workaround https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2021/12/grub-doesnt-detect-windows-linux-distros-fix14:54
LuckyManby the way, why was this disabled?14:54
oerheksThis all due to security concerns14:54
LuckyManOk but I hope this will be restored in the final version... I really like having two versions of Ubuntu on my desktop.15:02
oerheksI guess it won't, and it seems to be linux wide15:03
oerheksbut you have your fix15:03
tomreynyou can still choose those two versions of ubuntu from your uefi boot menu15:03
tomreynjust need to make sure to configure the boot loader (grub) to handle both of them, or have have them install different boot loaders incl. configurations to the ESP15:05
LuckyManthis seems like a lot of trouble to have more than one OS on the same computer...15:46
