[00:33] oerheks: I think so, it is a computer from 2013, and last time I upgraded the bios was ~2 years ago. I doubt they still support it now, but will double check. [00:37] Yes. Latest BIOS [00:38] then don't worry about those messages [00:38] But the boot process stalls here [00:40] Sometimes I get one more line: [00:40] Bluetooth: hci0: unexpected event for opcode 0xfc2f [00:42] Could this be a hardware issue? [19:18] 😁 (re @adhooooooooom: Did the bot just give up?) [19:19] i hope Sanverik gives up now because it's getting too noisy in the IRC channel [19:21] SGF0 [19:21] P0GK [19:27] Hello all, I'm on Kubuntu Focal and I'm trying to compile the kernel using the procedure shown in the Ubuntu wiki, as I want to test some fixes in a wifi card driver. The build stops due to dkms trying to build XFS (a filesystem I don't need right now). If as an alternative I disable the building of XFS in the menuconfig, I get check-config complaining about that and failing the build with an error. I tried passing the "skipmodule=true" argument to [19:27] the build and menuconfig scripts, with no improvement. [19:28] Anyone can point me to a resolution, or to a channel where I would get some tips on the matter? [19:28] @Sanverik stop with that [19:29] As you wish (re @IrcsomeBot: @Sanverik stop with that) [19:29] good [19:46] How can I downgrade Plasma? [19:46] I have Plasma 5.23.5 (backports) and it has some bugs, is there a way to downgrade to Plasma 5.22? [19:58] @adhooooooooom not sure but maybe similar to this: https://www.debugpoint.com/2021/06/plasma-5-22-kubuntu-21-04/#uninstall-stock-version [20:03] I upgraded to Kubuntu 21.10 and added the backports ppa which allowed me to upgrade Plasma from 5.22 to 5.23. [20:03] But now I'm experiencing several bugs. [20:03] I don't know wether the cause of the problems is the Kubuntu upgrade or the Plasma upgrade, but it's frustrating. === karlnashville is now known as karl_AFK === karl_AFK is now known as karlnashville [23:18] Hmm, my PC back up at the office running 20.04 can open this .rar file we got from a client (dunno why they rar'd up a small text file, but that's engineers for ya...), but my 21.10 machine here at home can't, weird [23:18] !info unrar [23:18] unrar (1:6.0.5-1, impish): Unarchiver for .rar files (non-free version).
