pieqHi there!03:42
pieqduflu: are you around?03:42
pieqduflu: when we test laptops/desktops using Checkbox <https://checkbox.readthedocs.io> we use xrandr to check things like automated screen rotation, resolution change, etc.03:43
pieqwith 22.04 and the move to Wayland, we would like to find an equivalent to xrandr that works for Wayland.03:44
pieqOn https://arewewaylandyet.com/ there are mentions of tools like kanshi, Wallutils, wdisplays, wlopm, wlr-randr, and my colleague also found gnome-randr-rust 03:44
pieqWould you have any recommendation regarding a replacement for xrandr on Wayland?03:45
duflupieq, there is no replacement for xrandr because there is no common server implementation of Wayland. You can however get some simpler information using weston-info04:08
duflupieq, display mode controls are specific to mutter/gnome-shell and done over dbus I think04:09
dufluxrandr is specific to the Xorg implementation of X11. Similarly, any tool that works for gnome-shell with Wayland would be specific to Mutter04:13
dufluIt's annoying I know, but that's the world we live in04:13
dufluweston-info might be enough. It does basic Wayland queries to interfaces 'wl_output' and 'zxdg_output_manager_v1'04:34
pieqduflu: thanks!!04:39
pieqI'll check this out04:39

seb128sorry jbicha :)11:06
seb128jibel, didrocks, do you remember if https://git.launchpad.net/ubiquity/tree/gui/gtk/stepPartCrypto.ui#n443 was done on purpose to workaround some gtk behaviour? it seems a weird tooltip to set '', also probably shouldn't be marked as translatable?11:07
jbichahey jibel 🤭 😊11:08
jibelHi jbicha 11:10
jibelseb128, it looks useless, likely something added by glade. 11:10
seb128jibel, alright, thanks. I pointed out that to fix on https://code.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-installer/ubiquity/+git/ubiquity/+merge/414410 and Lukasz said he copied it from existing code so I was checking in case there was a reason it was done this way. I will submit a fix11:11
oSoMoNgood morning seb128 & jibel and jbicha 11:14

oSoMoNcool :)11:17
dufluseb128, I started a fun gnome-shell fix to end the week and it's still not finished :)11:21
oSoMoNricotz, I just noticed that the libreoffice snap uses an old Google API key for access to the drive API, that was previously used by the debs, but was updated in 2016: https://git.launchpad.net/~libreoffice/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/commit/?id=af86bbeac1ce628be66b60bfbe41410ef48a376311:52
ubottuCommit af86bbe in ~libreoffice/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice "update gdrive auth details"11:52
oSoMoNit's highly likely that this old key isn't valid any longer, it should probably be updated (and tested)11:53
