Intelo | While deploying a vps in vultr.com I see option to add ssh key. I wonder which key do I add? my own localhost key? private or public? or can I add later on? | 12:27 |

maswan | Well, having no knowledge of vultr.com service in particular: Most likely the public ssh key of yourself that will be available as authentication method for the vps | 12:30 |

Intelo | maswan ok | 13:02 |
MJCD | heya, i'm using an AWS EC2 based VPS and it was running ubuntu 18 but I just tried to do an upgrade from within it and it spat out a bunch of errors about -aws branded packages not being available -- and googling it it seems maybe they only distribute them in their official images? | 13:53 |
MJCD | I do have an ubuntu 20.xx image available to init the vps, but just haven't used a "cloud VPS" before | 13:53 |
MJCD | (infact when I paid for it they didn't even brand it in any way as a "cloud VPS" lol) | 13:53 |
MJCD | but I think it's actually pretty good value for my needs vs any other offering on the market including building a proprietary AWS-thing to do the same work, so not terribly mad haha | 13:54 |
MJCD | and it still seems to be working but i'm worried I might have inadvertently "nerfed" some of it's AWS-powers | 13:55 |
MJCD | which I might end up using now, or might not, uncertain | 13:55 |
MJCD | if anyone has used such things and has any advice; i'm all ears :) | 13:55 |
