[03:04] why i havent recieved any ubuntu updates for a while now? [03:04] are they waiting for jelly? [05:06] My wifi is not openning how can i fix it [05:06] Is it a bug? [08:16] Good morning everybody, I'm new to KDE. I recently installed it replacing GNOME on my Ubuntu installation. I was just wondering if installing KDE on Ubuntu and installing directly Kubuntu is the same thing or does it carry some differences... So, you might have old bits hanging around, say the Gnome Keyring, that you would never have had if you simply installed Kubuntu. [10:00] For a newbie, I always recommend backing up your "real" data, and a few if your dot files (say if you do not want to generate new ssh keys), and do a clean install of Kubuntu. [10:03] But for me, I just go to github, gitlab, invent.kde.org and revoke my old keys and create new ones. [10:03] Of course, I git push everything before I re-install. [10:14] Hey all I am wondering right if there is a utility that does autocomplete in the shell differently [10:14] normaly if you want to cd to a folder forexample you have to just type say the first three and hit tab [10:14] zsh (re @IrcsomeBot: normaly if you want to cd to a folder forexample you have to just type say the first three and hit tab) [10:14] but some person here in my company decided it would be a good good idea to prefix all maps with a numerical number [10:15] 1. folder [10:15] 2. folder [10:15] etc [10:15] themes in zsh [10:15] it's anoying me beyond believe xD [10:15] then add color [10:16] try fish if you want [10:16] i do not want to switch away from Bash really [10:16] or atleast want to avoid that [10:17] you can switch anytime. [10:20] all i want in this case is to not deal with those stupid stupid prefixes [10:20] lol [10:20] probably no low level effort to fix this for me then :) [10:31] blesh is exactly what i needed [10:31] https://github.com/akinomyoga/ble.sh [10:32] it makes suggestions while typing it in and i can just tab complete if it is what i want! [10:32] thought i'd share :) === anet is now known as anet_ [13:36] Well, I thought in fact that could be better to do a fresh install, but I also imagine i will lose my data if I'll do it...unless Kubuntu behaves like being always Ubuntu so I can preserve data and programs as I run an update... [13:51] Hi folks [13:59] Hi there! [14:02] With a space in the name? Ugh. Especially before position 3 (as you note). Also, I find that sometimes the autocomplete that attaches a trailing / is unwanted. === genii-core is now known as genii [17:10] LPP6 [17:10] LPPX6 [17:10] 2RKA [17:11] How to downgrade my kubuntu 20.04.4 to kubuntu 20.04.3 [17:27] @Oov you don't [17:28] 20.04.4 is not a entire new release, it's a point release [17:28] so if you are on 20.04.3 you get updated to 20.04.4 anyhow [17:46] Ok how can i reset my kubuntu settings to default? === m is now known as m_ === m_ is now known as m [18:17] hi [18:17] Hello [18:17] hi [18:17] hi m [18:17] hi maik [18:18] if you have a Kubuntu support question just ask and wait for someone to respond.
