jibelhm, I lost all audio this morning after the recent updates of pipewire09:30
seb128jibel, do you have pulseaudio installed?09:40
jibelYes, should I remove it?09:45
seb128no, I'm a confused why it's not working09:47
seb128did you restart your session since the upgrade?09:47
seb128the reason pipewire lost sound is probably https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pipewire-media-session/0.4.1-2ubuntu109:48
seb128but the solution is designed to let pulseaudio in charge09:48
seb128I'm a bit confused of why it wouldn't make sound just work through pulseaudio for you though09:48
seb128unless you didn't restart your session and the conflict made that pulseaudio had bailed out earlier letting pipewire in charge?09:49
seb128 09:52
seb128didrocks, re the libqrtr-glib MIR, there are no autopkgtest atm which I expect is going to come back as an easy, it's also low priority so you can park it for a while if you prefer.09:54
seb128easy->issue09:54
seb128I'm unsure what hardware needs it but I haven't seen a request for it on launchpad yet and oem team also doesn't know09:55
seb128which makes me think we can maybe get it promoted after the LTS and bring it back to the LTS in an update for hardware enablement later if the needs become more obvious09:56
jibelseb128, Yes I rebooted, I'll have a closer look after my meeting10:12
seb128:-(10:18
jibelthe only error I see in the journal is 10:23
jibelpipewire-pulse[6922]: mod.protocol-pulse: client 0x55f8d3faf0b0: send channel:4294967295 20, error -32: Broken pipe10:23
seb128jibel, oh, you installed pipewire-pulse, that's the sound server side from pipewire10:27
seb128jibel, well it's up to you want to do then, it's a non default configuration10:27
seb128jibel, either uninstall pipewire-pulse or create /etc//pipewire/media-session.d/with-pulseaudio10:28
lunamorning desktoppers, no canary builds today?10:59
didrocksseb128: ack on parking11:08
seb128luna, hey, there is a builder issue since a recent launchpad upgrade which we are trying to figure out11:10
lunaseb128, ah alright, thanks for the info11:10
GunnarHjHi seb128! Would be good if you could look at bug #1963771. Any doubts about the measures with translation templates I mention there?11:11
ubottuBug 1963771 in Ubuntu Translations "Multiple 'libhandy' translation templates" [High, In Progress] https://launchpad.net/bugs/196377111:11
seb128GunnarHj, hey11:12
didrocksseb128: so, you are going to drop the dep from qmi?11:12
seb128didrocks, I will do for now yes, but let's keep the MIR as a low priority, we will want it back at some point11:12
didrocksseb128: ack, in case you opened it, please add ubuntu-mir to it (and set it to incomplete) meanwhile11:13
didrocksI did subscribed ubuntu-mir on bug #196256811:13
ubottuBug 1962568 in libadwaita-1 (Ubuntu) "[MIR] libadwaita-1" [Undecided, New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/196256811:13
seb128GunnarHj, what you described there seems to make sense to me11:13
seb128didrocks, thanks, I opened the MIR yes, I will subscribe and set to incomplete11:14
GunnarHjseb128: Great. Let's see if it works as expected then.11:14
jibelseb128, sound is back but the output is always the speaker, no matter which device I select11:22
seb128jibel, which way did you go? 11:23
jibelI removed pipewire-pulse and rebooted11:24
seb128:-(11:24
seb128pulseaudio :/11:24
seb128is using pavucontrol any better?11:24
jibelno, I can see all the devices but no way to switch the real output to the headset11:28
jibeleven with pactl11:29
seb128jibel, :-(11:30

ahasenackdiddledani: hi, I'm unsure on the status of adsys with new samba, there were some AA removals14:21
ahasenackhttps://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/adsys/+bug/1962170/comments/1514:21
ubottuLaunchpad bug 1962170 in adsys (Ubuntu) "DEP8 failure with samba 4.15.5" [Undecided, New]14:21
ahasenackmaybe a no-change rebuild should be uploaded?14:21
ahasenackthere are two bugs out there talking about failing tests, and they became bugs about FTBFS in ppc64el and armhf14:22
ahasenackdiddledani: sorry, I meant didrocks 14:22
ahasenackdidrocks: ^14:22
diddledaniteehee. I'm used to it :-)14:23
ahasenack:)14:23
didrocksahasenack: I don’t know what black magic was done, we never had more information from foundation about the removal/readd. For me, with Michal’s patch, it ought to pass. I have added some sync() calls for the other issue (changed config not being inotified in tests), which happened rarely and I plan to issue a new release with that tomorrow so that we can see the state in real archive14:28
ahasenackok, cool14:28
didrocksthen, I’m puzzled about the failure you had on ppcel6414:29
didrocksthis is not a new test and we never had that failure in that part of the code which didn’t change14:29
ahasenackso was michael, he was hunting down some ppc64el vm to test14:29
didrocksand obviously, stderr was allocated14:29
