bluca | slyon: systemd v249.11 fresh out of the oven, includes your fix for the dbus deadlock https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues/15316 | 12:59 |

ubottu | Issue 15316 in systemd/systemd "'Unexpected error response from GetNameOwner(): Connection terminated' messages + boot takes a lot of time" [Closed] | 12:59 |
slyon | bluca: oh sweet! We're post feature freeze in Ubuntu already so I can't land new version bumps anymore.. but I already uploaded a fix for that specific issue via LP: #1871538 (pending SRU) | 13:06 |
ubottu | Launchpad bug 1871538 in systemd (Ubuntu Impish) "dbus timeout-ed during an upgrade, taking services down including gdm" [Undecided, New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1871538 | 13:06 |
bluca | can it be done via SRU? there's no new features, just bug fixes since it's the stable branch, and there's a few that really should ship | 13:13 |
slyon | yeah... I discussed that a few times already. The SRU team usually requires a specific bug report that can be reproduced, validated and documented on Launchpad. So we cannot just ship the latest version from the stable branch. For Jammy it might be a bit different, as we're still before Beta and Final freeze. Let me check back with the release team about that! | 15:01 |
seb128 | slyon, the feature freeze only applies to new feature, you can still upload bugfix updates without needing permissions | 15:02 |
slyon | thanks seb! That makes sense to me, as we want to have the most stable version in the final release. | 15:18 |
Eickmeyer | mapreri: I reassigned but 1964390 to you since I tried it on a different installation and the problem persisted. I recommend a VM to reproduce the problem if you can. | 16:41 |

schopin | tumbleweed: doko: Hi there! I just noticed that libpython2.7 still Depends on libssl1.1 in Jammy. Didn't one of you fix this a couple months ago? | 17:28 |
tumbleweed | I thought so | 18:03 |
tumbleweed | schopin: looks like that's an explicit dependency in debian/control that should just be deleted | 20:19 |
tumbleweed | doko: https://salsa.debian.org/cpython-team/python2/-/merge_requests/6 | 20:22 |
ubottu | Merge 6 in cpython-team/python2 "Drop explicit dependency on libssl1.1, we get an automatically generated dependency on libssl3." [Opened] | 20:22 |
sarnold | tumbleweed, schopin, there's a few more of those, I ran this for mwhudson recently https://termbin.com/38rx | 20:22 |
teward | whos drivinv the firefox deb2snap transition? | 21:16 |
teward | driving* | 21:16 |
vorlon | mariadb-10.6 should be ready to go in now | 21:59 |
vorlon | w/ the next britney run | 21:59 |
vorlon | also, hah python3.10 doesn't trigger nearly as many tests as I thought it would, because of course the revdeps are on python3-defaults not python3.10 | 22:00 |
jbicha | teward: oSoMoN is driving | 22:02 |
jbicha | it sounded like one of the issues is that the Firefox snap isn't built on as many architectures as the .deb was | 22:10 |
