=== mihaiadrian1 is now known as mihaiadrian [12:34] Hello there, could you please help me with a situation I'm having... I've tried to fix a connectivity issue I'm having, my browser is only connecting to google sites mostly, it does not connect to duckduckgo.com for example, I checked https://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/duckduckgo.com and it is working, it is just me having the issue, I tried to use Google Public DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.8.4 with in only automatic DHCP, it is still not [12:34] working. I keep looking for different solutions, it seems as DNS issue or IPV issue, it looks like google sites support ipv6 so that's why they load, and the websites with IPV4 do not load, therefore I would say the issue is with my IPV4 settings, I checked different browsers and it is the same issue. I checked another device and the connection keep working just fine, it is just my computer with Xubuntu affected. [12:57] Hi [12:58] I bought a new notebook because the cooling unit on my old one was making enormous noise [12:58] So I have a HP Victus 16-e0656ng now [12:59] Problem is, I've spent 12 hours at least making usb sticks, downloading different versions, etc. [12:59] Some like Lubuntu worked long enough for me to get my hopes up and play up backups and synchronise the browser [13:00] But with Lubuntu it either works like a charm or it just crashed back to GRUB in the middle of a session [13:01] With Xubuntu, which I'm used to and would much prefer, the mouse cursor keeps freezing for 30 seconds before responding for a second or two [13:01] but it doesn't crash [13:02] But it's generally really slow to react, even to keyboard input [13:03] I'd really appreciate any help [18:08] not sure what I did but the icons in my wisker menu are huge and I can't figure out how to change them back to normal... any ideas? [18:11] restart the panel? xfce4-pannel --restart [18:14] still big... [18:14] try to change the whiskers menu to show lists instead of icons? [18:14] go to the apparence settings and change the dpi? [18:14] I'm not sure where that setting is [18:15] left click over the whiskers icon and go to it's settings? [18:16] ah there is the setting I'm looking for! [18:16] thank you [18:16] de nada [21:29] test
