You were working on an issue where all snap connections were getting disconnected, right? [13:08] mardy: hi, gadget connections, yes [13:08] pstolowski: mmm... so, let me tell you what I've seen, maybe it's the same issue, maybe not -- you'll tell me :-) [13:09] pstolowski: a colleague of us installed microk8s on UC20 on a RPI4; it all went well [13:10] pstolowski: today, no program was starting: he was getting a permission denied on running /usr/bin/snap, [13:10] pstolowski: and ls: cannot access '/snap/snapd/current/usr/bin/snap': No such file or directory [13:10] pstolowski: he rebooted without investigating further, and then after a reboot this was solved [13:11] pstolowski: but all the microk8s connections are gone [13:11] pstolowski: (there are no other snaps installed) [13:11] pstolowski: sounds familiar? [13:14] mardy: right. yes, we have seen cases like this but it's probably a different issue. connections got lost because snapd snap wasn't linked for whatever reason at some point, in such case we fail to read current info and hit the code that purges such connections (i.e. where a snap appears to be missing) [13:26] pstolowski: but the fact that /snap/snapd/current/usr/bin/snap was not resolving, probably means that there was something wrong with the snapd snap in this case too [13:27] mardy: yes, as i said it wasn't linked (current link missing?) [13:28] mardy: very hard to say what was the root cause, we would need logs [14:02] PR snapd#11502 closed: asserts: minimal changes to disable authority-delegation before full revert [14:19] PR snapcraft#3664 opened: ROS plugins v2: respect source-subdir key [15:02] PR snapd#11501 closed: many: replace use of "sanity" with more inclusive naming in comments [15:12] PR snapd#11506 opened: tests: fix test to avoid editing the test-snapd-tools snap.yaml file [15:22] PR snapd#10816 closed: fde: add new DeviceUnlock() call [15:32] PR snapd#11507 opened: overlord: extend single reboot test to include a non-base, non-kernel snap [15:57] PR snapd#11498 closed: github: replace "sanity check" with "quick check" in workflow [18:53] PR snapd#11508 opened: tests: test that revert undoes migration
