[10:00] Hi! I have a question about the "mainline kernel" (git://git.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-kernel-test/ubuntu/+source/linux/+git/mainline-crack): Since v5.16.12 and v5.17.rc6 there are no lowlatency packages any more and the files needed to build them seem to have been deleted. Any info on that? Will they be back soon? I hope this is the right place to ask. [13:12] Which repo/branch has 5.16? [13:21] I'm compiling it myself – using this: https://github.com/TuxInvader/focal-mainline-builder [13:25] v5.15.22 and later have the same problem, according to: https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ [13:35] It has also been asked here: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1397410/where-are-latest-4-16-low-latency-kernel-packages [13:41] The mainline kernel builds are produced for debugging purposes and therefore come with no support. [13:45] I see. Is there maybe another place (IRC channel) where I could ask this? I've an USB audio device which is not nicely supported by the standard kernels of Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS. [13:48] Best bet would be a generic linux channel [13:51] Thank you. === Beret- is now known as Beret === mhcerri7 is now known as mhcerri
