[11:19] If you are doing JJ ISO testing, it is now an IMG. I was successful cp'ing my .iso to .img before zsync'ing [11:22] the link on the tracker is also wrong now [11:23] http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/ ? [11:26] BTW, if you just enter iso.qa.ubuntu.com konqueror selects HTTPS, which breaks the site because the images are HTTP. I filed https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-qa-website/+bug/1868413 in 2020. [11:26] Launchpad bug 1868413 in Ubuntu QA Website "iso.qa.ubuntu.com renders differently under HTTPs - http assets not loaded over https" [Medium, Triaged] [11:27] But, worse, selecting all defaults, today's img installer seems to hang on Creating ext4 file system for / in partition 3 of SCSI33 (0,0,0) ) (sda) ... 33% [11:40] mparillo: same here [11:48] Do you know what time tomorrow (UTC is fine) is the deadline is for the blurb and screenshot? I fear that I may not be able to add a JJ screenshot to https://invent.kde.org/mparillo/flavourscreenshotandblurb [11:52] no idea [12:23] Hi all [12:57] Hey [13:10] mparillo: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1966204 [13:10] Launchpad bug 1966204 in ubiquity (Ubuntu) "Kubuntu jammy install hangs at creating ext4 filesystem (33%)" [High, New] [13:42] Subscribed, thank you. [21:14] ahoneybun_: [21:17] @ahoneybun_ @RikMills Do we have anything for the Jellyfish SVG with preferred coloring? I can help with this if needed. [21:18] This is what I have so far. [21:19] Hi Aaron! I don't see a link or anything (I'm on konversation). [21:21] Mm [21:21] Erich got it ... [21:21] I was going to put it on my Nextcloud lol [21:21] I needed to do it anyway lol [21:22] Ah, that would help. I'm looking at the grey one right now... [21:22] https://cloud.ahoneycutt.me/index.php/s/foAXxWeAJXCLiA7 [21:22] That should work. [21:23] Ah, Me thinks a blue shading of the official logo hue might be better [21:23] @ahoneybun which file? [21:23] How about I give that a chance? [21:23] He was trying to get the xcf file but it's on my Nextcloud now. (re @IrcsomeBot: @ahoneybun which file?) [21:23] The file is 'jammy jellyfish RGB_Grey.svg' [21:23] Ah [21:23] Looks the same as what you have [21:23] mmm [21:24] But I could pull in the logo hue and get it updated with a couple of stabs at dark and light [21:24] I would like it more transparent, since jellyfish are transparent [21:24] @valorie transparent could work too [21:24] Transparent is what I did for the Ubuntu Studio jellyfish wallpaper. [21:24] but I like the concept [21:24] Eickmeyer: can I see it? [21:24] I agree come combination of white/blue/transparent might be best. [21:25] my internet (comcrap) has been spotty of late [21:25] I have Comcast as well with 900 or so and unlimited which is nice lol [21:25] IMO, the gray + opaque is a bit too much on that wallpaper. [21:25] so I think I missed some conversation in spite of my bouncer [21:25] Thomas has 1Gb. [21:25] Let me give it a go, should take just a few minutes... [21:26] valorie: Working on it. Matrix is being stupid. [21:26] oh, it's fine when it's working, but then it just cuts out completely [21:26] Eickmeyer: this is why I'm still on irc [21:26] I'm sure matrix is the future [21:28] valorie: https://git.launchpad.net/ubuntustudio-look/plain/usr/share/backgrounds/ubuntustudio/ubuntustudio_2204_jammyjellyfish.png?id=f4849db9eda1c2a48e6749e1e42c1cd687875522 [21:28] With the background Eylul created, it looks like it's underwater. [21:29] it does [21:30] I wanted a bit more bright and colorful tho [21:30] Ours is dark because Ubuntu Studio users expect dark. [21:30] yep, I get it [21:30] since I got cataract surgery I seem to need more light [21:32] Ah, I understand. My dad is having cataract surgery in about two weeks. [21:33] I'm very glad I did it, and I turn the screen just a bit more to the bright end [21:47] I have examples @ahoneybun_ @valorie @RikMills [21:47] incoming ... [21:49] https://michaelmikowski.com/jammy-colorize-001.png [21:49] https://michaelmikowski.com/jammy-colorize-002.png [21:50] The first is just a colorized png. Too little contrast IMO. [21:51] Second shows a higher contrast with 50% opactiy against wallpaper in bottom rh corner [21:51] er, bottom *lh corner. [21:53] https://michaelmikowski.com/jammy-colorize-003.png <= Recommended contrast. [21:53] All these use the official Kubuntu Hue [21:53] *hue [21:54] So, I can color up the SVG (these are raster mocks) and provide it if others are interested. [22:01] @valorie How does that second jellyfish look to you? It is 50% transparent [22:02] Anotherthing one might experiement with is leaving the head of the jellyfish white and the legs blue... [22:41] mmikowski: I like and 3 [22:41] in context of the whole, all of it could use more transparency [22:42] if we want to give the idea of water [23:03] Hi @valorie, I was working elsewhere [23:04] I'm working on colorizing the SVG. This will take probably another hour. [23:04] I'm doing the color mapping. Changing the transparency is easy. [23:05] In fact, if you do Gimp, you can drop colorize 3 on top of the wallpaper and play with the transparency. [23:06] If you put it on too "busy" of a field, it gets visually confusing. Therefore, bottom-left or top-right are better areas with this wallpaper.
