[11:59] hi, all. [12:02] Is there Ubuntu Membership Board meeting tonight? === binli is now known as BinLi [12:24] Hi mapreri, diddledani Is there meeting today? [12:26] BinLi: I checked the tables earlier, there was nobody in there? [12:27] https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Membership/Boards#A12:00 this table.. [12:27] hi mapreri_mobile , looks nobody in here [12:28] I've asked bashing-om, he said it should be today, :) [12:28] https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/bin-li-membership-application/27257 [12:28] Who are you again anyway? The candidate that wrote on discourse? [12:28] Here is my application [12:28] Well, you need to add yourself to the table anyway [12:28] With some advance... [12:29] That "Please set your preferred date and time" was meant to ask you to write there [12:29] Oh [12:29] We didn't get notification of any candidates because the wiki hasn't been amended to add to the schedule. You need to contact @madhens to get wiki edit role and then edit the page to add your name to the list [12:30] Mhh, I don't think it needs any extra permission? Or is the whole wiki locked down? [12:30] mapreri_mobile: yes, I didn't have permission to edit wiki [12:31] Mhh, I'm not sure what's the status in the wiki these days tbh [12:31] Is there some launchpad "user" group? [12:32] madhens: hi, could you assign the permission of wiki page for me? [12:33] diddledani: thanks. [12:34] I think she is still asleep ATM ok r in a morning meeting [12:34] BinLi, the meeting was supposed to be on Monday, but because of Easter holidays it was skipped. As mapreri_mobile said, you need to add yourself to the agenda and it would be great to send an email to devel-permissions mailing list notifying everyone about your application [12:34] something like this: https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/devel-permissions/2022-March/001918.html [12:34] devel-permission is irrelevant here? [12:35] it's membership, not dev [12:36] kanashiro: Got it, thanks! [12:37] u.u how come now I seem unable to edit any page on the wiki [12:38] mapreri: yes, I tried to update my wiki page early, but found it's Immutable Page. :) [12:38] BinLi, are you applying to became a Ubuntu Contributing Developer? (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuDevelopers#ContribDev) If yes, you should follow the process described here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DeveloperMembershipBoard/ApplicationProcess#Applying_for_team_membership [12:39] kanashiro: no, it's ubuntu membership, nothing dev :) [12:39] kanashiro: yes, I also want apply it, I thought ubuntu membership is the first step. [12:39] ah ok, I thought that was the case :) [12:39] so yes, that's simpler [12:42] kanashiro: thanks for the info, :) [12:55] I just sent an email to madhens, hope to meet you in next meeting, thanks. [12:57] https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-wiki-editors/+members - was ~ubuntumembers or some such team meant to be a part of https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-wiki-editors ? [12:57] i mean.. until 2 or 3 weeks ago I could edit the wiki?! [13:07] mapreri: it must be some reason to close it, I just applied, see you later === miles is now known as Kilos [18:59] Hello all! IS is looking into an issue with the wiki that is keeping a lot of people from logging in. Right now, the temporary solution is to just keep trying over and over and over. They are trying to get a more permanent fix in. [18:59] BinLi I will go ahead and approve you, and I hope IS can fix the problem soon!
