=== popey7 is now known as popey [13:10] Hi, I'm trying to debug a soft lockup using io_uring w/ focal's 5.13 kernel. I'm not able to repro with the 5.15 from Jammy so, presumably it's fixed there. Any advice on how I could easily check what's changed between those two versions? Or maybe known io_uring issues with 5.13? === ghvail|wtf is now known as ghavil [14:27] Which repo/branch has 5.16 and/or 5.17? [14:28] mkay 5.17 is in https://git.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-kernel/ubuntu/+source/linux/+git/unstable [17:45] ghavil: this might be useful https://wiki.debian.org/DebianKernel/GitBisect [17:45] ghavil: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/MainlineBuilds might help you do something similar but without compiling [17:46] Thanks, yeah I'm now trying to sort out what linux-aws is getting me and if swapping to a different package is going to blow up my world or not [17:47] I think all I really want at this point is a linux-aws release that ships with 5.15 since whatever bug I've hit with 5.13 is clearly fixed with that version. Sounds like I need to wait for 20.04.5 to get cut [18:03] ghavil: with the very strong caveat that trying this would be stepping off the 'usual path', there's a https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-hwe-5.15/ that might be worth testing out [18:22] Ah nice, thanks. I'm going to try building a 22.04 AMI since the AWS images are there now. I might give ^ a whirl if those blows up in my face [19:26] Installed ubunstustudio-installer with everything on on fresh xubuntu 22.04. The gpu is not working properly with low-latency kernel, and everything inside the small resolution lags as hell. With generic kernel i got no problems.Had the same installation order yesterday and had the same results. [19:27] nvidia rtx2060
