[15:41] wth why is convert making a gif that firefox wont display [15:42] because we had things working so now we need a bunch of new codecs for images that are supported by only 1 browser? [15:44] not that ff is giving any diags [15:48] blame chromium [16:44] hmm it does display in chromium [16:46] i'm shocked! :-) [16:47] * penguin42 will file it as a firefox bug I think [16:50] hmm I think it's an alignment thing, if I make it 2 pixels offset it's OK [17:09] o0 [17:11] I still blame chromium [17:12] because whoever wrote that convert app only tested in chromium [17:14] so sad what's been happening to the Fox these past years :( === chrisccoulson_ is now known as chrisccoulson [20:15] how much of what is happening to firefox is self inflicted? [20:17] i don't think a lot, most common folk can't even explain why they're using Chrome [20:17] and with chromium based Edge, it's quite compelling to use it now. [20:18] hell, I use chromium Edge on my work computer [20:18] I'm only using FF on my main computer out of habit. But I do find Edge quite compelling these days. [20:21] It's disappointing that FF is losing ground, but there are fewer reasons that ever to use it. All this privacy talk, well.. it's not really there in FF as Mozilla do collect metrics and other data. [20:22] eh i don't think it's quite the same [20:25] Probably, but most people who run Windows don't really care about these things. They just want to be able to get to Facebook, Gmail or whatever with the least amount of resistance. [20:26] Not sure if it's the same these days, but remember installing Chrome on Windows? You didn't even need to be an administrator to install it. No UAC prompt, nothing. That was quite clever. [20:29] i think most of them get suckered into it due to tying bookmarks to their account etc
