xu-irc49w | Hello everybody, I want to install Xubuntu 22.04 LTS. In Ubuntu 22.04 LTS wayland is activated as default. As wayland causes a lot of problems with compatibility I deactivated it in Ubuntu 22.04 LTS by editing etc/gdm3/custom.config by setting wayland=false. I now tried to do the same with Xubuntu 22.04 LTS but do not find the file as Xubuntu | 09:50 |
xu-irc49w | uses lightdm instead of gm3. Can anybody help me? Thank you. | 09:50 |
kc2bez | xu-irc49w: Xubuntu doesn't use Wayland | 09:52 |
xu-irc49w | Thank you, so I leave everything as it is. | 09:52 |
kc2bez | Yes, that should work. | 09:53 |
user1_ | Is anyone here familiar with a Windows program called DesktopList View? I displays desktop icons in the same view as "compact" in the file manager. It shows foll length file names nxt to them (not trunkated) and takes up far less space on the screen. I wish there was a version of this for Xubuntu. | 14:29 |
user1_ | Sorry about the typos. I would like to find a verion of this http://www.webupd8.org/2009/03/list-view-icons-on-your-desktop.html For Linux. | 14:32 |
