| arraybolt3 | OK. The first thing I'd do is boot into the earlier kernel. Reboot your system. When the initial boot screen is finished and the screen goes solid black, immediately hit "Esc". This should get you into a hidden boot menu. Select "Advanced Options for Ubuntu", then select the third item in the list (there should be four items). This should boot you into the earlier kernel.
