xu-help70wHello there. I'm trying to install Xubuntu 22.04 on an old Toshiba laptop. I'm pretty sure it's a BIOS (non-UEFI machine because in order to make a bootable USB I had to use Rufus and check the "fixes for old BIOS" button. So I boot the live media and proceed with the installation. If I check "Erase disk and install" installation completes and then16:38
xu-help70wthe OS doesn't boot. If I check manual install and try to partition the disk myself + select /sda for bootloader installation I get an error message that says I should create an EFI partition. If I choose to continue with the installation then the OS doesn't boot again.16:38
xu-help70wI don't know if it could be relevant info but the same happens on all Ubuntu flavors while I could install and boot Linux Mint on that same machine without problem.16:38
xu-help70wAny help would be appreciated.16:38
