[01:24] aye, was redirected here by Unit193; I know that the mainline kernels aren't supported but figured it was worth an ask anyway; my hardware seems to be "too new" for the 5.15 in 22.04 [01:25] 5.17.4 through 5.17.7 seem to work; .8 and .9 fail. here is a working dmesg http://dpaste.com/CXRQXQMR9 and not working http://dpaste.com/DPNQ2YWTZ (line 1450ish) [01:26] not high urgency for me since .7 works, but willing to cooperate in whatever, as may be necessary === sforshee_ is now known as sforshee === cascardo_ is now known as cascardo [19:56] kurly, you have many ACPI Errors. Try flash updated BIOS (if the hardware is still supported by the manufacturer). Or the way to edit DSTS and other tables and override on early boot. Mayby, needs quirk environment in kernel. [20:13] ok will look; it's a brand new laptop so I'd hope it's still supported [20:15] ah a new version released 3 days ago [20:17] So, the updates will not keep you waiting long. It doesn't hurt to report the issue to the manufacturer though.
