IrcsomeBot<Pixel> Hi, I have one issue with fresh install of Kubuntu 22.04. Basically few seconds after login into the Plasma, the mouse cursor starts stuttering and then the system will freeze completely (mouse frozen, no CTRL+ALT+ F2, even the SSH server on background freezes). Its X201 laptop with (Intel GPU). It happen even with the live CD. Kubuntu 21.10 was ok, though. Any ideas, please? Is there any log that will survive the reboot I could check? Thanks y20:48
rioting_pacifistSounds like a kernel lock up, Not sure how to troubleshoot them, I think https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_SysRq_key might work, quickest fix would be to downgrade your kernel20:51
arraybolt3Pixel: How much RAM does your system have? The mouse cursor stuttering sounds like this might be thrashing.20:54
IrcsomeBot<Pixel> 8GB of RAM and plenty space on the harddrive (re @IrcsomeBot: <arraybolt3> Pixel: How much RAM does your system have? The mouse cursor stuttering sounds like this might be thrashing.)20:56
arraybolt3Pixel: Crud. No way that's thrashing then.20:57
geniiMight be Baloo20:58
IrcsomeBot<Pixel> Thanks for this, I'm playing with Magic SysRq now :) (re @IrcsomeBot: <rioting_pacifist> Sounds like a kernel lock up, Not sure how to troubleshoot them, I think https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_SysRq_key might work, quickest fix would be to downgrade your kernel)21:01
