[20:22] <arraybolt3> raub: This should get you to a boot menu. Select "Advanced Options for Ubuntu", then select the second option in the list (it should have "recovery mode" in it).
[20:23] <arraybolt3> raub: This will boot the system into a scary-looking menu. Select "root", press Enter, and drop to a root shell.
[20:23] <arraybolt3> raub: From there, run "mount -o remount,rw /" to get write access to your disk.
[20:24] <arraybolt3> raub: Next, do "nano /usr/share/grub/default/grub". This should pull up a text editor.
[20:24] <arraybolt3> raub: In the file, add "nomodeset" into the "GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT" entry.
[20:25] <arraybolt3> raub: Now press Ctrl+S to save, then Ctrl+X to exit.
[20:25] <arraybolt3> raub: Finally, run "grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg, and you're done!
