[16:41] <xnox[m]> BigOrNo: so we normally reuse packaging from another place.... and normally it is supposed to override the changelog versions to what is being built. i wonder if you can pull the cod/mainline/v5.17.12 tag to see if the code that is build is in fact v5.17.12 and that somehow it is hopefully jsut the version mangling of packaging that is broken.
