[23:43] amurray: hey, so i have.. a personal problem [23:43] lol ive went through so many commits and stuff and nothing is consistent to work with the problem [23:44] one time i kept tinkering and then no image would load at all [23:44] the only thing i see is the most stable is to not free the image private data but that just makes the other gtk widgets as aforementioned freak out, maybe its a graphics thing [23:44] is it still worth patching [23:44] the issue doesn't exist on 22.04 which is what pisses me off [23:46] this has basically become a journey to get something to freaking work rather than fix a heap-buffer overflow [23:50] if you want i can just sprinkle around g_return_if_fails everywhere where i need and call it a patch if you want, or ignore this cve because gthumb is apparently super buggy and has a lot of commits that can be backported in 20.04
