In the last entry, there is some configuration merge mentioned. I guess that feature never happened? I am not a native speaker, but I think what is described there, is the goal, that this is the way how it would be configured, once the feature is [11:01] implemented [11:01] Launchpad bug 1806133 in cloud-init (Ubuntu) "OVF does not read user-data if vmware IMC is used." I am having difficulties with the write_files module. If I define an owner other than 'root:root', only the first file is created, it has an owner of root with a group of root, and it fails to make all of the other files in the array. I have attempted to specify the desired user in the users module, used the defer flag, and tries various [20:02] combinations of random things in an effort to get the desired behavior. cloud-init-output logs don't show anything exciting. Does anyone have a suggestion as to where I can start to understand this behavior? [20:02] This cloud-config is being delivered via customData on Azure if it matters. [20:07] Okay, apparently this has been around since 2015.
