[09:43] mircsicz: well that's the purpose of /run, if you want persistence, use /etc/tmpfiles.d instead [09:44] frickler THX a ton and yes makes sense === gschanuel9 is now known as gschanuel [17:15] lvoytek: hey, there are 2 mysql bugs in my triage today and I'm wondering if they ring any bell to you (before I start spending some time analysing them) [17:16] lvoytek: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-8.0/+bug/1977886 and https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-8.0/+bug/1977823 [17:16] Launchpad bug 1977886 in mysql-8.0 (Ubuntu) "package mysql-server-8.0 8.0.29-0ubuntu0.22.04.2 failed to install/upgrade: installed mysql-server-8.0 package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1" [Undecided, New] [17:16] Launchpad bug 1977823 in mysql-8.0 (Ubuntu) "package mysql-server-8.0 8.0.29-0ubuntu0.22.04.2 failed to install/upgrade: installed mysql-server-8.0 package pre-removal script subprocess returned error exit status 1" [Undecided, New] [17:24] sergiodj: Yeah both fall under known categories, I'll put them in the right place. Thanks! [17:25] lvoytek: awesome, thank you@ [17:25] s/@/!/ [17:42] sergiodj: the last debian upload of samba moved again files from a package to another, but this time this impacted symbols :/ [17:43] he moved files from libwbclient0 to samba-libs, and samba-libs has no symbols (theoretically it's only used within samba itself, that's the justification I believe) [17:43] but a lot of symbols were dropped from libwbclient0 as a result. I'm checking if the reverse-deps still install [17:43] (and run) [17:44] they should, if these symbols are really only used within samba [17:44] but these riscv64 build failures are impacting the ppa as a whole :/ [17:49] oh, man [17:50] ahasenack: it seems like we'll have to closely monitor the next uploads just in case... [17:51] I have the feeling we will still see some major changes in the next months [18:25] $ smbclient [18:25] smbclient: error while loading shared libraries: libreplace-samba4.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory [18:26] new smbclient (my example package) doesn't depend on libwbclient0 anymore. I updated just libwbclient0 and my existing smbclient faield like that [18:26] the new smbclient has the correct dep moved to the package where these libs were moved to, so that is ok [18:26] there may be a missing breaks again [18:27] still need to wait for the ppa to build this stuff so I can try with apt [18:28] I guess in sid it's too late to test an upgrade, unless I have an older sid lying around [18:38] ahasenack: there's snapshot.debian.org [18:39] oh, that might be useful [18:39] sid already has the latest indeed [18:39] (the lxd image) [18:40] snapshot.d.o is really great :) [18:41] I'm envious now [18:41] so easy to setup [18:41] yeah [18:41] got the package [18:42] (via apt) [18:43] download speed is not that great, though [18:47] yeah, that's the downside of the service [18:47] when I was setting up debuginfod.d.n I considered indexing the -dbgsym files available in the snapshot service, but that's just unfeasible [18:50] hm, apt does the right thing in the ugprade [18:50] upgrade [18:53] I don't know why dpkg -i didn't complain [18:53] the dep is clear [18:53] oh well [18:53] ah [19:36] ok, tested all reverse deps that are not from samba itself, they seem to work fine with the new libwbclient0 [20:51] ubuntu server [20:55] hi to all [21:21] ubuntu scortal here
