[15:28] Eickmeyer: It seems it is possible to have two pulseaudio's running. pulseaudio -k may not fix and I have just added pulseaudio to my killall list instead. I do follow with a systemd restart pulse, but it doesn't seem I need to. [15:28] Eickmeyer: for what it's worth, systemd starting pulse effectively breaks Cadence [15:29] OvenWerks: Yeah, that was kinda my fear RE: multiple pulseaudios. And yeah, not surprised, but as far as we know Cadence is moribund anyhow. [15:38] Eickmeyer: I think he is waiting for PW to take over. [15:38] not sure what that says about the state of jack [16:01] Well, if wtay can get pw to be as feature-complete as jack, obviously there's a winner. [16:02] unfortunately I think the extra jack backends will never be added... maybe can't be added. [16:06] Eickmeyer: anyway, 2.3.3 is out [16:06] OvenWerks: ack, I'll get it uploaded. [16:23] Eickmeyer: if you haven't started yet, it seems 2.3.4 will be soonish [16:23] OvenWerks: heh, literally just uploaded, but feel free as I can supersede it pretty easily. [16:24] that is ok, I think that one covers the big problems. [16:25] So far 2.3.4 is just a fix for those using three delta 1010s [16:26] Yeah, that's fine. Honestly, britney will see the second upload, wipe the first upload and do the autopackagetests against the second upload. I'm not too worried. [16:41] Hmm, it seems one of my file changes didn't get merged :P [17:31] If that's the case, then a 2.3.4 might be necessary. [18:05] Eickmeyer: 2.3.4 is out [18:08] I seem to be able to restart jack lots of time without pulse jamming. This may be due to some very old (one from the 90s) pciaudio devices [18:09] I now reinitialize alsa before starting jack [18:44] OvenWerks: Uploaded. [18:45] 2.3.3 is in Kinetic, I'm not even going to bother backporting it at this poitn. [19:55] of course [21:28] Ok, 2.3.4 is in kinetic and backported. [22:14] and installed [22:27] And broken :P [22:28] Mostly runs but USB plugged in does not start bridge. Seems to be a type error :P [23:46] oof.
