IrcsomeBot<parkour_29> Is there any possible way to execute git programs like bpytop-git using GUI app?19:12
IrcsomeBot<parkour_29> I may sound stupid19:12
arraybolt3[m]@parkour_29 There's GUIs for Git, if that's what you're asking. git-cola and gitk are my two favorites. If you're talking about software that you downloaded with Git and then compiled, you should be able to make a desktop file for the executable that will execute it with whatever options you want.19:41
user|81Hi! I'm using Kubuntu 22.04 and I'm wondering, if this LTS release might also get official support for KDE Plasma 5.25 and the newer framework, as soon as it's stable enough. I'm asking because it's not an LTS release of KDE Plasma, but it's still a huge update.19:47
IrcsomeBot<parkour_29> Thanks (re @IrcsomeBot: <arraybolt3[m]> @parkour_29 There's GUIs for Git, if that's what you're asking. git-cola and gitk are my two favorites. arraybolt3[m]user|81: I wouldn't expect to see it in 22.04, as 22.04 has already shipped, and KDE Plasma 5.25 isn't in there. For stability, I would find it likely that fixes and security vulns would be patched, but not a new version put in. However, I do believe we have plans to integrate KDE Plasma 5.25 into Kubuntu 22.10 Kinetic Kudu, scheduled for release in October. It's a non-LTS release, however.19:48
user|81That's also why I'm asking. I'm not quite sure how safe it is to upgrade to a non-LTS release of Ubuntu/Kubuntu.19:49
user|81I know that on KDE Neon they ship newer KDE software but I really don't want to change my distro, because it would be a hastle to set everything back up. Also they are always behind with the Ubuntu release they use a the base. I think KDE Neon is still not based on Ubuntu 22.04 and it will probably take until the first/next point release.19:53
