[01:54] WhT we got it? (re @w4tchdog: yeah , finally got it... :)) [01:55] HeheπŸ˜‚ [01:55] C%heπŸ˜‚ === kubuntu is now known as kubuntu_ [06:20] I don't know what you mean by that... πŸ€” (re @IrcsomeBot: And a warm C%HE to you too.) [06:24] The captcha [06:24] πŸ˜‚ [07:25] @w4tchdog: You said "lol am I a bot?" and then said "WVZW", I thought you were making a joke about filling out the captcha making it look like you were a bot with the strange 4-character codes, so I was making a joke in response. I'm guessing you were actually still trying to fill out the captcha, which explains the confusion, sorry. [09:25] Hello [09:26] I deactivated yesterday the ibus panel nut it activated itself and this ibus panel came after the release upgrade before it was not there how to solve this [09:26] The "DE" in taskbar is annoying [09:28] After reboot it comes back in taskbar [12:36] Hi all [12:36] Hi 😭 [17:41] Hello! Has anyone had or is having issues with Mega on Kubuntu 22.04? I think I also had this problem on PopOS 22.04 before switching to Kubuntu [17:42] I get this error on every boot and everytime I try to open Megasync : https://irc-attachments.kde.org/4b1e3a02/file_57804.jpg [17:43] I also noticed that this only happens when it tries to sync. I recently changed my hard drives, so it couldn't detect the old path and didn't sync. As soon as I made it sync to a new path, it started scanning and then crashed as always [17:45] Mega is not safe [17:47] I would recommend you send the report as written there [17:47] I have done that multiple times, but I don't think that will help (re @Oskar: I would recommend you send the report as written there) [17:47] And add what ypu have written here in the section where you can write [17:47] What do you recommend instead? (re @Oskar: Mega is not safe) [17:48] Google one, or one drive [17:48] Or a selfmade cloud with a raspberry pi [17:48] Hmmm that sounds like a collection of bad choices. PRC, Google, or MS. [17:49] I use google daily and had no problems [17:49] I won't use something that is completely proprietary. And self-hosting is not an option [17:50] But i use a pixel phone so... [17:50] Of course, they are one of the biggest companies ever, it is expected to work very well. The problem is what they do with user data (re @Oskar: I use google daily and had no problems) [17:50] Things you upload never come into search results at google search [17:51] With google one u have extra support when something goes wrong [17:51] Yeah I'd trust Mega/China with my data instead. Less impact than google. [17:51] Google provides support? [17:51] Mega is not safe anymore read the news [17:51] Just to google one users (re @IrcsomeBot: Google provides support?) [17:52] What does Mega have to do with China? (re @IrcsomeBot: Yeah I'd trust Mega/China with my data instead. Less impact than google.) [17:52] This is not a Kubuntu problem. You would be better spending your time looking for support/help on more relevant channels/forums/IRC/etc (re @nayibmc: Hello! Has anyone had or is having issues with Mega on Kubuntu 22.04? I think I also had this problem on PopOS 22.04 before switching to Kubuntu) [17:52] Also please stay on topic for Kubuntu support [17:52] I guess I'll have to do that (re @RikMills: This is not a Kubuntu problem. You would be better spending your time looking for support/help on more relevant channels/forums/IRC/etc) [17:53] I assumed the reason he said mega was not safe was due to the china connection. Kim Dotcom says they sell their data to china or something. [17:53] πŸ‘ [17:54] The encryption is flawed, see the news about mega [17:55] I deleted all my data on mega cloud so far [17:56] Last word from me to this topic is, that mega is the succesor of megaupload and most of the users use it for illegal content
