[13:43] man, i love buddy's. [13:57] Me too [13:57] We're spoiled for great pizza here [13:57] truly. [13:57] now I want to visit mug a little bit more. when it is IRL again of course [13:57] I mean, there's about 10 of them in this area [13:58] jrwren: Virtual works as well. [13:58] We'd love yo have you. [13:58] It's on a hosted Jitsi instance so it's private-ish [15:17] g'morning, btw [15:23] morning [15:43] hey [15:43] Howdy [15:43] wb [15:43] ty [15:43] New system needs work, but it's online [15:44] AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1900X (16) @ 3.8GHz. Runs a little bit hot though, not sure why. [15:54] Nice [16:14] Considering I'm upgrading from an FX chip on a 12 year old board hell yeah it is. Like night and day almost. [16:15] 8 core, not 16 though. Still very nice and it shows 16 virtual ones in htop which is neat. [16:18] Very cool [16:21] Oh, I should mention that the Be Quiet! Black Rock TR4 cooler was too large for my rackmount case and stuck out of the top. [16:21] So I took the motherboard and bolted it to the removable ATX tray that I took out of a full tower. [16:22] Which I had bolted to a blank that goes into the MasPar 2204 cabinet I have. So that's my new computer case. [16:22] Bonus, I can just slide out the entire tray. [16:23] I still need to run wires from the front of it to the board, and I need to figure out a better way to cool it so I can actually close the doors (outer/inner) and that thing at the bottom that goes up.
