[08:18] hello, anything wrong with builders? [08:18] I see many of them are idle, but not picking up new tasks... [08:18] e.g. https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/codec2/1.0.5-1ubuntu2 [08:18] coq-simple-io is another example [08:19] mathcomp-finmap [08:36] lazy builders are lazy [09:00] You and your work ethic [09:00] buildd-manager seems to have stalled. Restarting it [09:06] LocutusOfBorg: it's back now [09:07] <3 [09:07] well you deserve a real heart [09:07] 💖 [09:07] maybe this is a *real one* 🫀 [09:11] cjwatson, hi :), sorry to bother you again , https://launchpad.net/~mozillateam/+archive/ubuntu/firefox-next/+build/24173011 failed as expected by letting it run as you suggested [09:12] seeing this behaviour too for https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/1:7.3.5~rc2-0ubuntu1 , which I cancelled and retried immediately instead of having it running 20h+ twice to no avail [09:14] as you mentioned the problem a lower level one, and I don't have another way to deal with it :( [09:14] ricotz: Nothing I can do at the moment I'm afraid [09:14] I'm sorry for the frustration, but pinging me directly won't help here [09:15] I believe there's a network debugging session scheduled later (not involving me) [09:15] cjwatson, I know and I am sorry, but feel free to mention those examples to the people in charge [09:16] Will do [09:16] seems short running builds are not that effected, but for long running ones it is very frustrating [09:16] cjwatson, thank you! [13:20] s390x looks sad again... [18:22] LocutusOfBorg: coming back now [18:22] at least partially [18:58] I created a launchpad account today but I seem to be unable to login at https://launchpad.net/onboard (I want to create a bug report ...). When I try to login I get redirected to a “Personal Data Request” page where I get asked to agree to give my name and e-mail to launchpad. Below is a [Yes, log me in] button. When I click that button, I get an error page: (Error ID: OOPS-00b00a42817a2c883588d80378ba5ddc) [18:59] That happens both in firefox and google-chrome. [19:01] mfabian_: launchpad doesn't allow one email address to be used for multiple accounts; I think this traceback means the email address has already been used [19:01] mfabian_: any chance that sounds familiar? [20:14] sarnold: Often not the user's fault as such, and not in this case. We'll deal with it [20:15] (it was due to a sort of shadow account created to represent an address seen in a comment imported from another bug tracker) [20:16] mfabian_: I've fixed your account; you should be able to log in now. Sorry for the inconvenience [20:24] cjwatson: oh, interesting; is there an easy wya to spot the difference? [20:24] I'm surprised we don't hit that one omre often [20:49] sarnold: it's a moderately routine support request for us [20:50] https://bugs.launchpad.net/launchpad/+bug/1607242 [20:50] Launchpad bug 1607242 in Launchpad itself "Logging into a placeholder person OOPSes if email address already on another person" [Critical, Triaged] [20:50] LP staff can see the account state fairly easily; probably a bit harder for non-staff though [20:51] cjwatson: ahhh are these the occasional "is account $foo a placeholder" questions I see every few weeks? [20:53] sarnold: that's probably slightly different - that's for more complicated cases around deletion and such, or sometimes when somebody's trying to take over a maybe-unused username [20:55] cjwatson: cool, thanks :)
