[02:07] guiverc: Hey you've done installs, what's in /etc/apt/ these days on fresh ones? [02:09] * guiverc booting up a box that should have xubuntu 22.04.1 qa-test install for a look [02:11] * guiverc smiles; third try found a xubuntu [02:13] I heard something that said new Ubuntu installs use deb822 formatted sources files now. [02:14] Unit193, https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/ph6yHycWGd/ (ls /etc/apt -lah) [02:14] xubuntu 22.04.1 install to hp dc7700 old bios box ^ [02:15] if you want to view a file (pastebinit etc) let me know [02:20] the sources.list file for ^ fresh install (22.04.1) https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/VWbbsk4cM5/ [02:25] OK, if it were deb822 then sources.list.d [02:25] would have it and sources.list wouldn't exist. [02:27] find /etc/apt/ → https://termbin.com/vevu, /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ubuntu.sources → https://termbin.com/c8gg [02:37] Unit193, sorry for delay, but /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ is empty on 22.04.1 install [02:37] I mean it's fine, not much of a delay there at all. Figured, given the state of sources.list [02:38] So 22.04 doesn't have it, wonder if they changed that in 22.10. [02:40] my recent 22.04.1 installs have all wiped any kinetic i have/had (or can recall doing) so dont have anything currently I can look up... i'm using kinetic on this box; but it's an artful install so heavily modified/changed & hardly clean [02:41] i can respond after/when I do next kinetic install (i do lubuntu somewhat regularly) when I've got one handy to look at maybe? [02:42] I mean don't go out of your way or anything, but if it's handy sure I'll gladly take the results of that. :) [02:43] i wasn't offering any extra install :) but happy to pastebin some details when I do next one though
