tjeartix_live_1: welcome.00:28
user|65Hi01:51
IrcsomeBot<CrustyCrab55> KUBUNTU 22 has some issues with random logouts while in use. The session seems to logout in this case.04:21

IrcsomeBot<LOBOLATELEPHONY> https://bpa.st/GVIA (re @IrcsomeBot: <arraybolt3> @LOBOLATELEPHONY: Could you use a service like bpa.st to hold that error message and then send the link? IRC flood protection didn't let your message get all the way through.)06:57
arraybolt3@LOBOLATELEPHONY: Hmm. Well... can you do "sudo apt install aptitude" and then "sudo aptitude install winehq-staging"? Aptitude gives far more helpful messages, and might even give a solution to the problem.06:59
FravialisHi all. Has anybody experience problems where update notifier from discover keeps trying to say libcgi-fast-perl libcgi-pm-perl libevent-pthreads-2.1-7 libfcgi-bin libfcgi-perl libfcgi0ldbl libhtml-template-perl ought to be installed while apt keeps saying they ought to be autoremoved?07:30
Fravialisexperienced*07:30
FravialisI've noticed that the update module from discover uses packagekit, and I suspect some kind of bug in packagekit's apt library, but I can't be sure.07:32
FravialisPerhaps it is my own package database which is corrupted, in which case: perhaps somebody has advice on how to uncorrupt it07:32
arraybolt3I have not noticed this, but that sounds odd. Is it possible for you to share screenshots?07:32
FravialisSure07:32
arraybolt3You can use Imgur for screenshots and bpa.st for text.07:32

FravialisEssentially I could go back and forth between the two endlessly, as it stands07:38
FravialisHmmm, problem might have been fixed by fixing conflicting mysql repositories07:48

Fravialisarraybolt3[m]: in case you were wondering, the problem seemed to have been caused by some leftover mysql sources from impish whilst I am running jammy. Commented those out, updated and dist-upgraded, forced through some ISC dhcp client/server packages and all seems well now09:34
iomari891Greetings, my lock screen password no longer works. The password is not wrong. I can use it in the console usingloginctl unlock-sessions". But the gui lock screen keeps failing.10:16

enigma9o7[m]Where is that message coming from, BIOS?  And what did you do to cause it?14:44
geniiUsually legacy boot vs EFI/UEFI issue14:45
mparilloCould it be a brand-new machine? I understand new SCPC machines turn off third-party certs by default. First report I saw was: https://mjg59.dreamwidth.org/59931.html Look for a response from a Lenovo / Linux guy, and a reply with a link to a Dell guy: https://mjg59.dreamwidth.org/59931.html?thread=2057243#cmt205724315:08
nDoes kdeconnect allow for mouse sharing between computers?15:41
geniiNo15:42
geniiWell, conceivably you could have some Android device which runs the client, then pair it with a specific computer to use the Android device's touchscreen/pad/mouse, then pair it with a different computer at a different time to do the same thing, but that's somewhat cumbersome15:49
nInteresting.  Cheers.  I was about to purchase Synergy to sync my mouse between kde installs, but I'd prefer to spend my resources towards this endeavor.   I assume since mouse control exists between the android and Desktop, it would be closer to possible then not.  Any way to sponsor a feature?16:29
user|25What are the drive requirements for 22.04? My upgrade worked fine for a few days, then seized up when my 10GB system drive went completely full.16:50
user|25120 GB drive16:50
user|19Hello17:17
alkisguser|25: 20 GB should suffice17:27
alkisgBut of course if your data is 110 GB, then 120 total isn't enough17:28
geniiIt's possible your drive was already getting full with undeleted obsolete kernels or logs, might want to check that. Or just the usual things which eventually fill drives like photos, videos, music, documents, etc17:30
