[12:27] morning [13:41] good morning. [13:41] i needed to look at a fresh haproxy 1.8 behavior so I tried to spin up 18.04 on a never before used lxc and it didn't work. I don't know why I thought to use lxc, but when it didnt work I used docker which worked just fine. [13:42] and I wonder why I don't use lxc. :) [13:42] How is your morning going? [13:47] LXC should have worked [13:47] I prefer LXC over Docker, but that's personal preference [13:47] that said the networking in lxc is a bit wonky [13:48] So far so good. Getting started with the day and what-not [13:48] waiting for wal-g to download a 4+ TB database [13:48] Got my new (to me) router and a 1.2GB down modem [13:49] and this thing is plodding away at less than 40Mbps [13:49] Sorry, < 6oMbps [13:49] and I'm being generous [14:02] IME networking is always wonky. avoid it as much as possible. use docker -net host if you can ;) [14:02] But I hate Docker? :) [14:02] I did, until I didn't. [14:03] podman is a nice docker work alike [14:03] I miht have to check that out
