[03:10] I just booted the wrong thumb-drive (kinetic) for QA install, the black-grub alerted me.. contrasted with bright-blue & lubuntu logo I see on focal.5 ; do we care about lack of pretty-grub on live-boot? (ie. worth bug report? given uefi/bios vary anyway) [03:16] guiverc: Personally I'm fine with the black GRUB (in fact since it looks similar to the other releases it might even be preferable). IMO it would probably be tricky to fix and wouldn't do a whole lot more for the user. (This is just my opinion, maybe we can wow users with a really pretty bootup screen and make the OS seem more polished?) [03:16] [telegram] my 2 cents is it sets us apart but if we don't have pretty-grub i won't shed a tear over it, if there's a good reason for it [03:18] [telegram] guiverc: ^ [03:18] I like the idea of us being set apart from the rest - if we can make the whole thing really pop from square one, it might make things more comfortable for those leaving Windows. [03:18] So I take it back, yeah sounds like it would be worth filing a bug report over. [03:18] [telegram] agreed. but again, if we can't get it in there because of incompatibilities or something, we should get it fixed since that's a staple of our imagesw [03:29] I agree (as in not worth shedding a tear; it's live boot only which ideally should be seen once for secs..) but I do like it... my kinetic isn't current so can't file now (& no intention of currently.. focal.5 my focus) & thanks @teward001 arraybolt3[m] [07:16] -queuebot:#lubuntu-devel- Builds: Lubuntu Desktop amd64 [Focal 20.04.5] has been updated (20220831) [11:06] (super loud) grrrr.. new daily has casper 1.445.3 !!!
