jameshamurray: I was wondering if you have any ideas about https://github.com/snapcore/snapd/pull/12069#discussion_r957045090 ?02:54
mupPR #12069: interfaces: grant access to the Wayland socket in the slot snap's private XDG_RUNTIME_DIR <Created by jhenstridge> <https://github.com/snapcore/snapd/pull/12069>02:54
jameshamurray: Everything seems to be working fine in recent Ubuntu releases, but the AppArmor denials in older ones are weird.02:55
mupPR snapd#11025 closed: interfaces: Allow access to hunspell dictionaries for spellchecking <⛔ Blocked> <Created by gunnarhj> <Closed by mardy> <https://github.com/snapcore/snapd/pull/11025>06:09
amurrayjamesh: hmm ouid is meant to mean object uid iirc - but this is a bit beyond my depth re apparmor internals - I'll see if I can get jjohansen to take a look06:18
jameshamurray: thanks06:39
jameshamurray: that part could be normal. The path in the denial also seems weird.06:40
amurrayyeah I am definitely a bit confused by this but I don't have enough time to dig down into it to try and figure out what is happening - hopefully jj may be able to just look at it and provide some advice06:47
jameshIf the answer is "this aspect of unix domain socket handling is broken in old Ubuntu releases", that'd be fine. I mostly interested in 22.04+ here, and the old distros have got by just fine without the changes to this interface.06:52
amurraythat sounds reasonable (ie to not worry about trying to handle this on older releases) - but it would be good to understand what the underlying issue is nonetheless07:02
