[16:28] well that was an interesting afternoon, a client lures me up to their home seeking help cancelling a recurring PayPal payment, she has very little patience so gives up often [16:29] then of course there are additional requests that are only revealed afterward, Skype not working on an iPad - and channels missing from a TV [16:29] adding call credit to the wrong account was the trick for Skype, then having moved the TV recently they'd yanked on the coax and pulled the centre core out of the wall for the TV [16:30] phew :P [17:37] haha [17:38] that's a fixer of really random probkems [17:38] they always hide the jobs from you at first! a cunning strategy [17:42] amusingly the paypal account did seem to have message history of an attempt to ask for help, but was mostly one sided "hello, is there anyone there?" xD [20:24] i have been called out to install a printer and ended up working out how to program the washing machine :-) [20:26] how do you work that, just charge by the hour and do anything you cna? [20:27] some it's charge by the hour, others it's write a list and email/sms/fax it to me first [20:40] for some folk if they brought in a system from home and it was there when i was in their office i'd look at it while waiting for the job i was there for to complete. good customers you look after [20:40] nod [20:43] :)
