[10:58] <xs> hi, i've justed updated to 22.04.1 from 20.04. my machine's root is over iscsi (it's aarch64). after reboot, it cannot boot because the kernel says  can not create NETLINK_ISCSI socket [Protocol not supported]. any ideas?

[11:08] <xs> thanks lotuspsychje i guess ubuntu 22.04.1 decided not to include iscsi in initramfs for arm64 for some reason. i'll see if i can unbrick and then get iscsi added. maybe i need to compile from scratch

[11:14] <xs> no, because /boot/firmware only contains initramfs current, and initramfs old.. alas old never booted, it was just overwritten and replaced multiple times during the upgrade. it would make more sense to keep around the last initramfs that booted.
[11:16] <xs> i will try to downgrade to an old snapshot of zfs and remote mount on another system. will require some network reconfig to expose the iscsi.
