[19:36] Got update at this moment [19:36] Is there a command for kubuntu to check if my gpu now supported? [19:52] I got the update and it did not require reboot is it ok? (re @Oski146: Where can we see what changes in linux-formware are made?) [21:27] I got no reboot too (re @Omar: I got the update and it did not require reboot is it ok?) [21:27] I think just a little change nothing special [22:01] oski146: Reboot should generally be required for Firmware updates. [22:01] oski146: What GPU do you have? [22:05] i got no reboot prompt from system, and i use razy 5 5500u with integrated grpahics [22:05] ryzen 5 5500u* [22:06] amdgpu drivers have got an update at this moment [22:07] So the reason reboot *should* normally be required is to load new firmware. There are likely some ways to load firmware dynamically, but a reoot is the likely the most certain to reinitialize correctly. [22:08] ok then i reboot now and come back here. just need to know then if i got the right one [22:08] As for the GPU, I can't speak to that. But again, if GPU support has been improved, you will need to at least restart X or Wayland. Rebooting will do that too. [22:08] kk, good luck. Gotta run for now! [22:09] iam back [22:41] is there any command to check if the modules loaded the right ones? [22:42] with names of modules
