[00:53] is there a way to make firefox default browser after chromium is installed? [00:53] I can`t find a particular setting for it [00:54] dragon: Does the button inside the Firefox settings work? [00:54] (The one for setting it as default?) [00:55] not, it is sort of stuck on "firefox is not your default browser, with a sad smiley [00:56] That is why I thought it was a lubuntu setting [00:57] There is a function "Make defalt...", but it seems inactive. [00:58] It doesn`t look like Chromium thinks it`s default browser either, but it behaves like it [00:59] Oooh fiddeling with settings, firefox promts "set as default browser", not sure anything happens [01:02] ...no, I need to do a bit of research, chromium behaves as default browser [01:04] ...chromium being very stubborn, I am in 22.04 [01:04] Odd. Stick around, someone might know the answer. I think there's a variable you can set or something that might fix it? [01:05] There most likely is, the clever guys can do anything [01:06] dragon: Try running "sudo nano /etc/xdg/xdg-Lubuntu/mimeapps.list" in a terminal. [01:06] dragon: Then find where it says "chromium" in that file and replace it with "firefox". [01:10] no browser mentioned? [01:10] libre office galore [01:11] binary packages [01:11] hmm [01:13] sorry, I am too tired, new attempt at this tomorrow. [01:19] under settings and lxqt sessions, firefox is listed as default? [01:19] yet, clickable links from discord open in chromium === guiverc2 is now known as guiverc [11:58] The issue I have with Discord and browser is most likely not related to operative system or lubuntu, at least not mainly. [11:59] It is only links from within Discord that directs to Chromium, not default FF. From irc client it directs to FF, at least quassel [11:59] Issue isn` solved, but it is not a lubuntu setting problem. [22:54] hello!
