[23:11] <whm> I am seeing a netplan failure that I am not sure how to debug.  I have a simple static /etc/netplan/config.yaml file on a ubuntu 20.04 system.  The network does not come with netplan apply, but I can bring it up with dhclient eth0.  What should I be looking at?
[23:34] <whm> Missing /etc/machine-id file was causing systemd-networkd some amount of heartburn.  Running systemd-machine-id-setup fixed the problem.
