rain_man[m] | hi | 09:23 |

rain_man[m] | i just did a fresh install and connected another screen to my new laptop. When i try to drag a window to the other screen, i can see the cursor but not the window. Even when I right click on the other screen i do not see anything. The only change i made that might be affecting rendering behaviour was to increase global scale to 200% on the primary laptop screen because everything was tiny. Please help, this is a weird issue but | 09:23 |
rain_man[m] | probably an easy fix somewhere | 09:23 |
rain_man[m] | i changed global scale back to 100% and it made no difference | 09:28 |
malfunction54 | rain_man[m], do you have any way of testing this in a non-studio distro? Wondering if it's studio-specific or a broader issue | 15:18 |
Eickmeyer[m] | Most likely it's a broader issue with KDE Plasma, as we make no changes to the source code. | 15:21 |
Eickmeyer[m] | But hard to know as based on that description it's hard to diagnose, and that was several hours ago. | 15:21 |
Eickmeyer[m] | The base Ubuntu Studio configs don't touch scaling. | 15:22 |
Eickmeyer[m] | This much I do know: X11 doesn't like to mix scaling. That's something that Wayland is built to resolve. | 15:24 |
