It seriously, I think, has saved me from a three-week bug I have been chasing, corrupt driver update that resulted in epic levels of scroll lag, mouse trailing and random skips on browser bars. It's too soon to tell if I have fixed it, but after an apt install, the performance has remarkably improved.
